“Bearded Man”, Armor Bronze, Circa early 1920s. Two different poses. Extremely rare bronze-clad fighting figures in loin cloth. .Originally created in 1920 by French sculptor Emile Gregoire (b.1871). Measures 7-3/4” high x 4-1/2” wide x 5-1/2” deep. Weighs 5-3/4 lbs. the pair. Beautiful bronze patina with some verdigris. Old original felt on bottoms. Labels long gone. Outstanding general condition. |
